Accessible for All’: Creating a Barrier-Free Environment

We all have the possibility of getting into Physically or Mentally Disabled in one or other way in our lives. In that scenario, the built environment should be barrier free and adapted to fulfill the needs of all people equally.  That may be  for a person with Disabilities, a child or an old aged person or a pregnant woman. UNO also emphasizes that the needs of the disabled coincide with the needs of the majority, and all people are at ease with them. As such, planning for the majority implies planning for people with varying abilities and disabilities.  In this session we are going to discuss the General aspects of creating a barrier free environment for all.
