Government of India has included Acid Attack Victims in the list of recognised disabilities under rights of persons with disabilities Act, 2016. According to the Act, an acid attack victim means a person disfigured due to violent assaults by throwing of acid or similar corrosive substance. The proper management and the rehabilitation process is essential for bringing them back to their normal life.
