Studies in India show that 1 in 1,000 children under 10 years has autism. Among them, around 90% face feeding difficulties, including the inability to feed themselves, pick up food, bring it to the mouth, or close their lips to prevent food from falling out. Early recognition, timely precautions, and medical interventions, including feeding therapy, can lead to significant improvements in the child’s condition.
The NIDAS webinar creates awareness among people especially parents and caregivers of the individuals with disability, and thus provides a platform to share their concerns and clear doubts. For more than two years, NIDAS has been successful in creating awareness regarding various aspects of disability and associated issues.
