Stroke: Warning signs and rehabilitation

Stroke or cerebrovascular accident (CVA) is one of the main causes of acquired language impairment in adults, called as Aphasia. Aphasia can be expressed in patients as comprehension problem, difficulty to produce speech, limited repetition and or naming difficulty. Knowing the signs of stroke and immediate medical care can lessen the brain damage and reduce further complications. A team of professionals are important for comprehensive assessment and effective rehabilitation of patients with aphasia.
