Stroke is one of the leading causes of disability around the world. Beyond the physical limitations, stroke can also contribute to cognitive, emotional, and social difficulties, which in turn can affect the overall well-being of the particular individual and family. The management of stroke requires a holistic approach. Addressing the psychological needs along with other therapies would provide effective management in the long-term recovery process. The session highlights the effects of stroke in various aspects along with evidence-based approaches for the psychological management of stroke.
The NIDAS webinar creates awareness among people especially parents and caregivers of the individuals with disability, and thus provides a platform to share their concerns and clear doubts.
