Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic neurological disease with potential for disability in young adults. The presentations are complex and encompass both overt and invisible symptoms. The focus of therapy has shifted from slow escalation and symptom management to prevention of disability with early identification, high efficacy therapies and aggressive monitoring. Simple actions including building brain reserve and pre-habilitation are gaining traction as tools for disability prevention.
