Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) intervention provides individuals who struggle with verbal communication with the tools and strategies to express themselves effectively. This session aims to provide an understanding of AAC, its components, and its use in enhancing communication, participation, and inclusion for individuals with complex communication needs, such as those with autism, cerebral palsy, or stroke survivors. By attending this session, professionals and caregivers will gain the knowledge and skills to understand that individuals with communication disorders can communicate effectively using methods other than speech, thereby unlocking their full potential.
