NISH with the support of Directorate of Social Justice organized online seminar on “Epilepsy in Children” on 27th October 2018, Saturday from 10.30 am to 12.50 pm. The session was handled by Dr.D. Kalpana, Consultant Paediatric Neurologist, KIMS Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram.

Epilepsy is a chronic condition which affects brain and causes frequent seizures. Seizures are the excessive electrical activity in brain which affects brain function temporarily. Many misconceptions and ignorance regarding it exists in our society, which affect the lives of people living with Epilepsy. The Malayalam webinar was aiming at creating awareness regarding the causes, management and rehabilitation of Epilepsy among Children. It created a platform for the parents and caretakers of differently abled to clear their queries and concerns.
